Mineral-Insulated Clean Laser Seal Trace Heater
ELK-MI AY 825 heating cables consist of a single- or twin-conductor in-line trace heating system connected to mineral-insulated cold leads via a high-quality laser splice. The cold leads are available with copper conductors in cross-sections of 2.0 mm², 2.5 mm², 3.3 mm², or 5.0 mm².
The outer sheath is made of corrosion-resistant alloy 825. The open end of the cold lead is encapsulated and equipped with a flexible connection lead. The cross-section of the connection lead is matched to that of the cold lead. Additionally, a separate ground lead with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is integrated.
Each cold lead is equipped with a pressure-resistant compression ring fitting made of 1.4404 stainless steel (AISI 316L) in thread sizes M20×1.5 or M25×1.5. The fitting is reliably secured against accidental loosening or potential loss by the encapsulated end seal.
The MI heating cables are pre-assembled by eltherm and delivered ready for installation. Each unit is equipped with a nameplate containing all relevant technical data and markings.
