Whether it comes to heating a chemical plant, such as a BPA production plant or a plant for the production of MDI or TDI, or the foundation heating of an LNG storage tank – we are the perfect partner to develop, manufacture, supply, install and commission the complete heat tracing system.
Electrical heat tracing for a sugar silo
As the quality of sugar can be significantly affected by condensation, it is particularly important to prevent condensation from forming inside the silo. To ensure the sugar remains free-flowing, heating is essential to keep the temperature constant. For Pfeifer & Langen, based in Jülich, Germany, the engineers at eltherm have therefore developed a solution for heating the silo jacket.
Heating a BPA plant
Over a period of 2½ years in total, eltherm has realized the heating of a BPA (bisphenol A) plant in Taiwan: from engineering through to final commissioning. When high process temperatures are involved, particularly in potentially explosive atmospheres, it is of particular importance to use a safe and reliable heating system. eltherm was able to demonstrate their expertise in heating this large chemical plant in Taiwan.
Heat tracing for a CSP plant
The NOOR III solar power station in Morocco is one of the largest solar thermal power plants in the world. The Moroccan desert, which receives the highest annual solar radiation in the world, offers ideal climatic conditions for cost-effective operation. In this power plant, molten salt is used to generate electricity. The electric heat tracing system we designed and installed ensures that the molten salt always at the prescribed operating temperature of over 260 °C and thus neither solidifies nor freezes. The eltherm team has dedicated itself enthusiastically to this task.
