From Burbach to the world
As a global manufacturer, we operate across five continents. Our head office is in Burbach – between Cologne and Frankfurt am Main. From here, we supply markets worldwide. We not only supply products, but also provide trace heating solutions tailored to our customers’ specific requirements; we oversee installation and commissioning, and provide support with maintenance and servicing.
Founded as a start-up
Founded in 1991 as a small business in Burbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, the eltherm Group has developed into a globally active engineering company with its own production facilities and a comprehensive range of products ‘Made in Germany’. For several decades, we have been developing and manufacturing our products in accordance with relevant industrial standards and in compliance with international approvals and certifications. By proactively sourcing the raw materials and components required to manufacture our products, we can ensure that we maintain consistent product availability even during periods of supply bottlenecks or market fluctuations. Research & Development
A highly specialised development and testing laboratory serves as a key tool for the development of electrically conductive plastics for use as self-regulating heating elements. Furthermore, we are the only heating cable manufacturer in Germany capable of processing high-temperature-stable and chemical-resistant fluoropolymers into electrically conductive heating elements. Using particularly gentle and effective compounding processes, conductive carbon particles are mixed with the highly shear-sensitive fluoropolymer melt to form a homogeneous compound, which is then shaped into self-regulating heating cables during the subsequent cable extrusion process.
