eltherm heating mats have a particularly flat structure and are used in a wide variety of applications. For example, they can be used on drums and IBCs, containers, vacuum chambers or for gas cylinder heating. Flexible heating mats are also indispensable in the fields of research and development or nuclear technology.

Heating mats provide an ideal solution for simple, flat surfaces that need to be heated to maintain a constant temperature or for frost protection.

A heating mat usually consists of an inner fabric, a support fabric, the heating cable used, insulation and an outer fabric. Due to its very flat design, it snuggles closely to the object to be heated. The choice of materials used depends on the operating conditions - criteria include the site of application and the operating temperature.

The heating cable is sewn onto the support fabric manually according to the previous calculation and configuration in our own production facility. All other fabric layers are also individually manufactured according to customer specifications. This is why heating mats are always custom-made and not standardised! It is also possible to produce several heating zones or to couple several heating mats with one another. Heating mats can also be manufactured separately from the insulation on customer request and, depending on the specification, are also suitable for hazardous areas.

Wherever very complex structures are heated, and a specific temperature needs to be reached and maintained, silicone heating mats are used. They are highly versatile and can be produced in almost any shape and size. Silicone heating mats are glued directly onto the surface to be heated or attached using clamping loops. Silicone heating mats are also splash-proof and washable.
