The new, self-regulating heating cable ELSR-N halogen-free closes a gap in the building technology portfolio. This halogen-free heating cable doesn't release any toxic or corrosive gases in the event of a fire. Instead, an intelligent protection principle ensures safety, as water vapour is released in the event of a fire. This cools the material, dilutes the resulting fire gases and prevents the rapid spread of flames. At the same time, a thermally stable oxide layer is formed that protects the material underneath.
