Sugar is a part of our everyday life. A cup of steaming hot coffee sweetened to taste gets us going in the morning. As simple as this may sound, sugar is a very sensitive foodstuff during storage, transport and processing. Whenever sugar is exposed to moisture, it forfeits its quality and clumps.

In order to prevent any condensation from disrupting the process, sugar silos, pipes, vessels and valves need to be heated to maintain a temperature above dew point.
